# DC505 Capture Card

The capture function can record either:

* The gaming PC video signal
* The final combined DC505 output

## Capture-Card Requirements

Download and extract:

*OBS dckj.rar (Coming Soon)*

Connect the front Collect port to the recording or streaming computer using:

* USB-C to USB 3.0
* USB-C to USB-C
* USB-C to Thunderbolt
* USB-C to USB4

The connected computer port must support USB 3.0 or faster.

## Install the Capture Driver

1. Connect the DC505 Collect port to the recording computer.
2. Open Windows Device Manager.
3. Locate:

```
WestBridge
```

4. Right-click WestBridge.
5. Select **Update driver**.
6. Select **Browse my computer for drivers**.
7. Browse to:

```
OBS dckj\Driver\bin
```

8. Select the folder matching your operating system:
   * `Win10` for Windows 10
   * `Win11` for Windows 11
9. Click **Next**.
10. Complete the driver installation.
11. Restart the DC505.

## USB-C Cable Direction

When using a USB-C to USB-A 3.0 cable, the USB-C connector may only work in one orientation.

When the capture device is not detected:

1. Disconnect the USB-C connector from the Collect port.
2. Rotate the USB-C connector.
3. Reconnect it.
4. Check Device Manager again.

USB-C to USB-C cables do not normally have this limitation.

## Add the DC505 to OBS

1. Open OBS Studio.
2. Locate the Sources panel.
3. Click the `+` button.
4. Select **Video Capture Device**.
5. Create a new source.
6. Open the device dropdown.
7. Select:

DC550
```

8. Click **OK**.

## Select the Capture Mode

Hold K4 for 3–5 seconds to switch between the capture modes.

### UVC 0

Captures only the gaming PC S1 signal.

The DMA PC overlay is not included in the recording.

### UVC 1

Captures the final combined output.

This includes the gaming PC image and DMA PC overlay.

Short-press K1 and check the UVC value to confirm the selected mode.

## OBS Audio

For OBS to receive audio through the capture device, the captured computer must send its audio through the HDMI or DisplayPort output.

### When Using Monitor Audio

Set the gaming PC audio output to the monitor or HDMI / DisplayPort audio device.

OBS should then receive the embedded audio signal.

### When Using Headphones or Speakers

When the gaming PC audio output is set to headphones or external speakers, the video signal may not contain audio.

In this situation:

* Change the audio output to the monitor, or
* Use a USB audio loopback cable

## General Troubleshooting

### No Monitor Signal

1. Confirm the DC light is illuminated.
2. Confirm the monitor is connected to the DC505 Display output.
3. Confirm the correct monitor input is selected.
4. Reseat the monitor cable.
5. Try another cable.
6. Turn the monitor off and back on.
7. Try Mode B by holding K1.

### Gaming PC Is Not Detected

1. Check the S1 indicator.
2. Confirm the cable is connected to the Main / Host input.
3. Confirm the cable is connected directly to the graphics card.
4. Restart the gaming PC.
5. Try another video cable.
6. Confirm all devices use the same connection type.

### DMA PC Is Not Detected

1. Check the S2 indicator.
2. Confirm the cable is connected to the Secondary input.
3. Confirm the cable is connected directly to the DMA PC graphics card.
4. Restart the DMA PC.
5. Try another cable.
6. Try Mode B.

### HDMI and DisplayPort Are Mixed

The DC505 does not support mixed HDMI and DisplayPort connections.

Valid configurations:

* HDMI gaming PC + HDMI DMA PC + HDMI monitor
* DisplayPort gaming PC + DisplayPort DMA PC + DisplayPort monitor

Invalid configurations include:

* HDMI gaming PC + DisplayPort DMA PC
* DisplayPort gaming PC + HDMI monitor
* Any other HDMI and DisplayPort combination

### RTX 5070 Ti or Newer GPU Is Not Detected

Some newer GPUs and laptops may require 12G HDMI link mode.

1. Hold K2 for 3–5 seconds.
2. Switch from 10G to 12G.
3. Wait for the display to reconnect.
4. Restart the affected computer when necessary.

### Overlay Is Not Working

1. Confirm the RH light is illuminated.
2. Short-press K3 to switch the fusion mode.
3. Short-press K2 to increase the ALPHA value.
4. Confirm ALPHA is not set to `0`.
5. Hold K3 for five seconds to reset the settings.

### Overlay Background Is Still Visible

Increase the ALPHA keying strength by short-pressing K2.

Continue increasing the value until the unwanted background is removed.

Values range from:

```
5–255
```

### Overlay Disappeared

Check whether ALPHA is set to `0`.

Short-press K2 to increase the keying strength.

Also confirm that the RH fusion light is on.

### Capture Device Does Not Appear

1. Confirm the cable is connected to the front Collect port.
2. Confirm the computer-side USB port supports USB 3.0 or faster.
3. Check Device Manager for WestBridge.
4. Install the supplied driver.
5. Flip the USB-C connector when using USB-C to USB-A.
6. Try another USB cable.
7. Restart the DC505.

### OBS Shows a Black Screen

1. Confirm the DC505 appears as `DC550`.
2. Hold K4 to switch between UVC 0 and UVC 1.
3. Confirm both computers are producing a video signal.
4. Confirm the S1 and S2 lights are illuminated.
5. Remove and recreate the OBS video-capture source.
6. Restart OBS.
7. Restart the DC505.

### Capture Works but There Is No Audio

1. Open Windows audio settings on the captured computer.
2. Select the monitor or HDMI / DisplayPort audio device.
3. Confirm the video source has audio enabled inside OBS.
4. Use a USB audio loopback cable when headphones must remain selected.

### Maximum Refresh Rate Is Not Available

Maximum refresh rates depend on:

* GPU model
* Monitor capabilities
* HDMI or DisplayPort bandwidth
* Cable quality
* Monitor timings
* EDID
* DSC behavior
* Link-rate setting

Possible maximum HDMI rates:

* 1080p up to 550Hz
* 1440p up to 360Hz
* 4K up to 160Hz

Possible maximum DisplayPort rates:

* 1080p up to 500Hz
* 1440p up to 320Hz
* 4K up to 144Hz

A small number of monitors may be limited to lower values.

### Factory Reset

Hold K3 for approximately five seconds.

This resets:

* Keying strength
* Link rate
* Related device settings

The selected EDID compatibility mode remains unchanged.
